Mr. Maurício Borges

Director

Maurício Borges, Apex-Brasil Business director, was born in Minas Gerais, in the city of Patos de Minas. He earned a bachelor's degree in Law from the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), a PhD in international law and a Master’s in European business law from the University of Bristol, England.

With over 15 years of experience in foreign trade, he was coordinator of innovation and manager of the international unit of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI). He was responsible for negotiating with state governments, industry associations and unions to implement trade promotion activities in several states.

As technical manager of Apex-Brasil, he organized and coordinated trade promotion projects in various sectors, among which are fashion, machinery and equipment, auto parts, cosmetics, medical and dental equipment and jewelry, and took part in international trade fairs and missions for over 30 countries in South America, Europe, China, India, Russia and UAE. In Sebrae-SP [in the state of São Paulo], he was a foreign trade manager, having coordinated foreign trade activities for 25 agencies of the entity.
